How to make puffy paint you ask, well it is really simple and only involves 3 ingredients! It is a great craft to do with your kids, my son absolutely loved the colours and how much fun it was!
It has the best silky, smooth texture and you don’t even have to measure properly to get great results!
There are a couple of variations of what to add to add colour, you can either use food colouring or acrylic paint. We chose acrylic paint because that’s what I had on hand.

What you will need;
Method:
Grab 6 (or as many as you want colours) cups that you can use for craft only. We have used glasses as we can reuse them in the craft room.
Pour into the bottom some white glue enough to cover the bottom. Your measurements don’t have to be exact, which is another reason why this craft is so easy.
Add to it a couple of drops of food colouring or a dollop of your acrylic paint, whichever your using.
Then fill the rest of the glass/cup up with shaving foam. Nothing expensive just use a home brand or the cheapest you can find.
Mix it all together, as the shaving foam and glue is white it is going to lighten your colours a lot. Add more colouring/acrylic until it is the right shade you want.
Take a piece of cardstock, I wouldn’t advise using copy paper as it is quite thin, and the paint may soak through and rip the paper.
Pencil out your design or jump right in freehand and start painting.
Set your piece of art to one side and allow to dry for 24-48 hours. Once dry it will be very raised and very squishy!
We put ours on a 12in x 12in piece of cardstock so that we could put it into a shadow boxed when its fully dried. It will look great on the playroom wall!
And that is how you make puffy paint!
Until the next craft,
