Method;
Firstly we found a premade SVG on Etsy that was purpose made for the Scoozee Glass Can. Unfortunately I am not yet that acquainted with the full potential of the Cricut Design Space. Although I have had My Explore Air 2 for many years I used to buy a lot of SVG as it was so convenient!
I found this Moon Phase/Celestial pattern for $4.38AUD ($2.81USD). I thought that was a fair price. But if you are digitally creative it would be worth making one yourself. And even selling it as a digital product to fund your crafting projects 😉
Upload the design into the Cricut Design Space and double check the Dimensions were correct. We don’t want to waste any precious vinyl!
Load up your vinyl into your Cricut Joy, we chose Black Permanent Vinyl from the Smart Vinyl Range. Its so easy you don’t even have to use a mat!
Some people say this part is therapeutic, I think its slightly painful to weed when you have such an intricate design. I did actually weed out a part of this design I wasn’t meant to but I am rolling with it! In reality I know the finished product will be worth it! Believe it or not but there are many ways to weed vinyl, but for now we are just going with the traditional style.
Tip: If you are finding your Smart Vinyl difficult to stick on the transfer tape, slightly heat it. Or swap over to masking tape. Although this does hinder the visibility, I have always preferred masking tape.
Once weeded, apply your transfer tape to your vinyl. Using a squeegee press down on both sides.
Get your Scoozee Glass Can Cup and line up the vinyl where you want it placed.
Apply your Vinyl by adding pressure to the cup and rub over the Vinyl with your thumb to smooth it down. Do this process slowly to make sure there are no creases or bubbles.
And just like that, you have a magical Scoozee!
The care instructions for the cup are;
Handwash only.
Until the next craft,
